dc.description.abstracten	This study is about a descriptive one, with qualitative boarding. The considered objectives had been to investigate from the speech of the nurses which the developed knowledge and the practical one on the process of communication in the interpersonal relationship with the oncologic aged customer submitted the tracheotomy of urgency, to identify which are the strategies used by the nurse to facilitate the process of communication in the interpersonal relationship with the aged customer tracheotomized in the immediate postoperative period and to analyze how these strategies facilitate the communication and the interaction between nurse/oncologic aged customer submitted the tracheotomy of urgency. Seven nurses of the unit of internment of the surgical clinic of the head and neck and eight nurses of the after-anesthetical recovery of a Public Institution, that is reference in Treatment of Cancer, had participated of the study, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The data had been collected through the interview half-structuralized in first semester of 2008 and analyzed on the basis of the theoretical recital of the communication and the Interpersonal Relationship of Joyce Travelbee. The data had been classified and categorized by means of the content analysis. Such process of analysis resulted in five thematic categories, subdividing itself in two subcategories: 1) Process of interpersonal communication, subdividing itself in: 1.1) Verbal communication and 1.2) not verbal communication: 2) Difficulties in the evaluation of the communication in the interpersonal relationship; 3) Feelings presented for the o tracheotomized aged customer; 4) Used strategies to establish the communication; 5) Interpersonal relationship between nurse/customer/family. In the results, we evidence some limitations on the process of communication in the interpersonal relationship with the tracheotomized aged customer, however some aspects deserve special attention, as the feelings of fear and anxiety, the discovery of the illness and the impossibility of the verbal communication on the part of the aged customer. Some strategies had been used to establish the effective communication, however the influence of the environment and the presence of the family had been distinguished as elements that turn easy the way in the interpersonal relationship nurse/tracheotomized aged customer. We consider that it is an obligation of the perioperatories nurses to give assistance systemize to the oncologic aged customer in the immediate period, valuing the participation of the family, after the accomplishment of the urgency’s tracheotomy. We conclude, trying that the nurses had become related to it with the tracheotomized aged customer, not if they direct only the therapeutical actions, but that they understand its necessities, identifying the priorities, curing or minimizing the discomfort, as well as, giving well-taken care of nursing qualified and specific for this type of clientele.	pt_BR

Os objetivos propostos foram investigar a partir do discurso dos enfermeiros qual o conhecimento e a prática desenvolvida sobre o processo de comunicação no relacionamento interpessoal com o cliente idoso oncológico submetido a traqueostomia de urgência, identificar quais as estratégias utilizadas pelo enfermeiro para facilitar no processo de comunicação no relacionamento interpessoal com o cliente idoso traqueostomizado no período do pós-operatório imediato e analisar como essas estratégias facilitam a comunicação e a interação entre enfermeiro/cliente idoso oncológico submetido a traqueostomia de urgência. Participaram do estudo sete enfermeiras da unidade de internação da clínica cirúrgica da cabeça e pescoço e oito enfermeiras da recuperação pós-anestésica de uma Instituição Pública de Referência em Tratamento de Câncer, localizada na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Os dados foram coletados através da entrevista semi-estruturadas no 1º semestre de 2008 e analisados com base na fundamentação teórica da comunicação e do Relacionamento Interpessoal de Joyce Travelbee. Os dados foram classificados e categorizados mediante a análise de conteúdo. Tal processo de análise resultou em cinco categorias temáticas, subdividindo-se em duas subcategorias: 1) Processo de comunicação interpessoal, subdividindo-se em: 1.1) Comunicação verbal e 1.2) Comunicação não verbal: 2) Dificuldades na avaliação da comunicação no relacionamento interpessoal; 3) Sentimentos apresentados pelo cliente idoso traqueostomizado; 4) Estratégias utilizadas para estabelecer a comunicação; 5) Relacionamento interpessoal entre enfermeira/cliente/família. Nos resultados, constatamos algumas limitações sobre o processo de comunicação no relacionamento interpessoal com o cliente idoso traqueostomizado, porém alguns aspectos merecem atenção especial, como os sentimentos de medo e ansiedade, a descoberta da doença e a impossibilidade da comunicação verbal por parte do cliente idoso. Foram utilizadas várias estratégias para estabelecer a comunicação efetiva, contudo a influência do ambiente e a presença da família destacaram-se como elementos facilitadores no relacionamento interpessoal enfermeiro/cliente idoso traqueostomizado. Consideramos que é dever das enfermeiras perioperatórias prestar uma assistência sistematizada ao cliente idoso oncológico no período imediato, valorizando a participação da família, após a realização da traqueostomia de urgência. Concluímos, ensejando que as enfermeiras ao relacionaram-se com o cliente idoso traqueostomizado, não se direcionem apenas as ações terapêuticas, mas compreendam as suas necessidades, identificando as prioridades, sanando ou minimizando o desconforto, como também, prestando cuidados de enfermagem qualificados e específicos para este tipo de clientela.	pt_BR
