dc.description.abstracten	The object of this master thesis is the construction of the network of meanings of the category of cultural expression by the designated Intangible Cultural Heritage, which has been undertaken since the early decades of the twentieth century. This construction will be analyzed in the discourse embodied in legal texts (laws, decrees, letters and drafts) produced by the Brazilian State. The theoretical and methodological approach adopted is based on concepts such as Social Memory in memory / forgetfulness. The other two pillars are the theoretical field of heritage through the concepts that help understand this category and, finally Discourse Analysis of the French side who understands the concept of discourse as a relationship between the materiality of language and social-historical conditions of their production. The empirical scope of this dissertation will focus on discourse analysis of the Intangible Cultural Heritage which is limited to the scope of two state institutions: the executive and legislative branches in Brazil, in exercise of its functions to sanction and make laws, respectively, and Institute for National Artistic and Historical Heritage - IPHAN, whose function is to assign value to immaterial goods of nature, as well as give them the registration of Cultural Heritage of Brazil. The analysis points to some considerations that senses consist of slides of the definition of intangible cultural heritage in a variety of materials that form the corpus. In other words, the meanings ranging from the "immaterial" meaning the physical nature of good, until they call a type of well characterized by the producers, that is, goods produced by the lower classes of society. These senses are understood by words, but also the silences, the unsaid.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstractpt	Constitui objeto desta dissertação de mestrado a construção da rede de sentidos da categoria de bens culturais designada pela expressão Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial, que vem sendo empreendida desde as primeiras décadas do século XX. Essa construção será analisada nos discursos materializados em textos jurídicos (leis, decretos, anteprojetos e cartas) produzidos pelo Estado brasileiro. O arcabouço teórico-metodológico adotado se fundamenta na Memória Social em conceitos como memória/ esquecimento. Outros dois pilares teóricos são o campo do Patrimônio por meio dos conceitos que ajudam compreender essa categoria e, por último da Análise do Discurso de vertente francesa que compreende o conceito de discurso como relação entre a materialidade da linguagem e as condições histórico-sociais de sua produção. O campo empírico desta dissertação centrar-se-á na análise do discurso do Patrimônio Cultural Imaterial que se circunscreve ao âmbito de duas instituições estatais: ao executivo e ao legislativo brasileiros, nos exercícios de suas funções de sancionar e elaborar leis, respectivamente, e ao Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional – IPHAN, cuja função consiste em atribuir valor aos bens de natureza imaterial, bem como conferir-lhes o registro de Patrimônio Cultural do Brasil. As análises apontam para algumas considerações que consistem em deslizamentos de sentidos da definição de patrimônio cultural imaterial nas diversas materialidades que formam o corpus. Ou seja, os sentidos vão desde o “imaterial” significando a natureza física do bem, até os que denominam uma tipologia de bem caracterizada pelos produtores, isto é, bens produzidos pelas camadas populares da sociedade. Esses sentidos são compreendidos pelos dizeres, mas, também pelos silêncios, pelos não-ditos.	pt_BR
