dc.description.abstracten	Michel de Montaigne, in the Essays, had proposed a new kind of movement of life, because of his understanding that to ‗essay himself‘ was related to a form of action in the world, produced by inner reflection and thus by its appropriate exteriorization, serene and agitated, which had united the will of man to live the good life along the duty of the public service, so valuable to the French setting of the XVI century. This serenity was accompanied by the diagnostic of the fragility of human‘s capabilities, on both knowledge and action, hence this movement created on the Essays is founded on the acknowledgement of human weakness, that is, by Montaigne, not a sinal of being insufficient, but a warning on the faulty and contingency natural to all human judgement. Therefore, spite of not conforming himself with the human condition imposed on man, but to please himself over that condition that was the requirement to achieve the good life. That acceptance was a capability of few, the ones who were able to unite in order to create the French public sphere, constructed by the means of friendship and serene conversation. In this sense that the language matter came to be of fundamental importance, because Montaigne saw in the non assertive tone of speech and in the sincere and frank use of the words the foundation of this salutary movement. As a result, this movement did not oppose on duty, the will did not subjugate the noble‘s man function and its action on the public sphere and the customs were asserted in the boundaries of experience and moving reflection.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstractpt	Michel de Montaigne, em Os Ensaios, propôs um novo tipo de movimento de vida, por entender que ensaiar-se tinha relação com uma forma de ação no mundo produzida pela reflexão interior e pela exteriorização adequada dessa interioridade serena e agitada, que unia a vontade dos homens de viver uma boa vida e o dever público e civil, tão úteis ao cenário francês no século XVI. Essa serenidade era acompanhada pelo diagnóstico da fragilidade das capacidades humanas de conhecimento e ação, daí o movimento criado em Os Ensaios estar fundado na constatação da fraqueza humana, que, segundo Montaigne, não era um sinal das insuficiências, mas um alerta para que o julgamento fosse atento às contingências e imperfeições que correspondiam a todos. Assim, ao invés de não se conformar à condição imposta aos homens, era necessário se comprazer com ela para se viver bem. Essa aceitação era uma capacidade de poucos homens, aqueles que podiam se unir para a construção de um espaço público na França, o que se faria por meio da amizade e da conversação serena. É nesse sentido que a questão da linguagem mostrou-se fundamental, pois Montaigne via no tom não-assertivo da linguagem e no uso franco e sincero das palavras o fundamento do movimento salutar. Como resultado, o movimento não se contrapunha ao dever, a vontade não subjugava a função do homem nobre em sua atuação no espaço público e os costumes eram afirmados em limites da experiência e da reflexão movente.	pt_BR
